These layered wood veneer bowls are made using a unique method of cutting 2D shapes out of thin hardwood veneer that become 3D forms when the seams are joined. The layers get stacked and pressed to create the finished bowls. The bowls are finished with a solid wood base and a food safe finish. Using veneer allows more freedom in grain selection while making a stable form that is not prone to warping. It also allows for very efficient and responsible material use with little waste, by stacking layers rather than carving a form out of one large block of wood.
